  1. We recommend our Natural Lump Charcoal as a heat source for you Kamado Joe® Grill. It’s made from a blend of hardwood trees like oak, hickory and maple. Unlike briquettes that contain chemicals and fillers, natural lump charcoal lets the true flavor of your food come through.

    1. Kamado Joe® 100% Natural Lump Charcoal burns CLEANER.
That’s why steaks, ribs, seafood, and chicken are so much juicier and more delicous when grilled over our 100% Natural Lump Charcoal. “Charcoal” briquettes contain waste material and/or petroleum additives to spoil the flavor of your food.

    2. Kamado Joe® 100% Natural Lump Charcoal burns HOTTER.
You can achieve much higher temperatures for steakhouse searing that gives ribeyes and other steaks that ”sizzle” right off the grill. It’s the choice of professional and competition chefs around the world.

    3. Kamado Joe® 100% Natural Lump Charcoal burns LONGER.
When you need to cook low and slow for extended periods your best choice is 100% Natural Lump Charcoal. Smoke a Boston butt to tender perfection! Other lump charcoals and “charcoal” briquettes only last a few hours.

    4. Kamado Joe® 100% Natural Lump Charcoal COSTS LESS PER USE.
Our 100% Natural Lump Charcoal is made from hardwood trees. That means you use less than other brands of lump charcoal. Our 100% Natural Lump Charcoal can often be reused for multiple cooking. Close air vents immediately after cooking.

Use Kamado Joe® Fire Starter cubes for fast lighting. Never use lighter fluid.

  2. Well after having the Joe now for several months, I am still as impressed today as I was the first time used the Joe. With this extra hot summer and ease of use of theJoe I have found myself cooking outdoors more often than ever, 3-5 a week. Whether it is whole chicken, chicken breast, steak, lamb, meatloaf, pizza, kabobs, hamburgers, hot dogs, salmon does not matter the dish it turns out great everytime.

My Neighbor has an egg and the Joe’s fire grate is larger and gives to a quicker a heat up time. There is no gasket around the top of the grill for the top vent. Not to mention green is an aweful color for a grill.

    • The egg has no gasket around the top for the top vent, the joe does.
